~2009 Event Results~
A Great Big Western Thank You to you all!!!
I am happy to report that our event was a huge success!!! On friday we had approximately 50 riders, ride in and also had a small team and wagon which was fun to see.
We started the evening out by celebrating the Sumitt National Banks 25th anniversary celebration , by branding the bank. It was fun to see everyone show up with thier brands and old family brands.
Dean Coronado from the Ponderosa made a delicous meal with Hamburgers, chicken breast, chips and watermelon.
When everyone was done eating and the branding was complete we started our Charity auction for Tim, this I am happy to report was also a huge success I want to say thank you to all of our donors for items and those of you who bought items. We couldn't have done it with out you!!! Thrivent Lutheren services matched up to 1/3 of our monies raised for Tim.
Later in the evening we danced to the great sounds of Steel Pony. Robert Dante the Bull Whip performer also got a couple of cracks in.
Of course the evening wouldn't be complete with out someone riding a horse through the bar and I'm happy to say that Sarah Barton did not let us down.
Saturday's events started out with a cold chilly rain. Then we got on with the Cowboy and Indian Collectible and Trade Show. Terry Goodvin did an excellant job rounding up vendors. You could shop for about anything from bronzes, paintings, beautiful leather work, bits & spurs, Hand carved Walking sticks, even some beautiful rope baskets. This was a great 3 day event and we hope it gets bigger with more and more vendors every year.
In the afternoon we were pretty chilly with the rain ,and thanks to Adventure Tents we were kept dry and warm by thier nice heaters they supplied for us. The Cowboy Poetry still had a great turnout in spite of the weather.
Calcutta poker tournament began at 6 pm with a great turn out. We had approximately 20 players and fun was had by all.
Sunday turned out to be a beautiful sunny morning. We heard beautiful music and had a great message delivered to us.
We are now taking applications for performers for out 2010 event please get in touch with us if you have an interest in joining us. Also get your tables reserved for the trade show.
Thanks again everyone for making our event such a huge success and a fun weekend.

Below is a letter from Carmen to all of you who supported them through their hard times.
We would like to thank the Ride Horse Feed a Cowboy crew for putting on a fun filled weekend. We could tell a lot of time was spent organizing the event. We had a great time despite the weather. The weather didn't seem to faze you guys. We would especially like to thank you and every one who donated to our family. People gave us prayers, time, money and auction items. It's nice to know we come from such a caring community. Some day we would like to return the gererosity. Tim is improving daily, and is now working at Home Depot part-time. He loves it!
Thanks;
Tim, Carmen, Drew, Kya and Ben Harrison

~Tim Harrison for Charity~
Tim is our choice for our Charity this year. On March 14,2009, Tim Harrison (formely of Hulett now from Gillette) fell from a ladder resulting in a traumatic brain injury. Tim was rushed to the Campbell County Memorial Hospital and then taken by lifte flight to Wyoming Medical Center in Casper Wyoming. Tim remained at Wyoming Medical Center for four weeks, 2 and 1/2 weeks in a drug induced coma in the ICU. When Tim no longer needed a ventilator he was immediately transfered to Craig Rehabilitation Hospital for intense thearapy (occupational, physical and speech.) Tim was injured in his left temporal lobe of his brain which controls speech. Tim has needed to learn to eat, walk and speak all over again. At this time 3 months after injury Tim has recovered physically , but still needs Speech Therapy and supervision after discharge from Craig Hospital at the end of June. Tim's family has moved down to Denver to assisst with his thearapy (as was recommended by the hospital). Tim's family consists of wife Carmen (Singleton) of Hulett Wyoming, daughters Drew (13), Kya (9), and son Ben (20 months). Carmen is employed by Campbell County Public Health as a nurse, and plans to return to work as soon as possible.
We will be having an auction to help raise money to defer some medical costs for Tim and his family. Anyone having an item to donate would be greatly appreciated please get in contact with Chanda Snook for your items. 307-290-0400.
